At Feed The Hungry Sierria Loene, we believe in the power of compassion and the strength of unity. We are a Sierra Leone-based non-profit organization dedicated to a single, urgent mission: ensuring that no one in our community goes to bed hungry.

About Us

Feed the Hungry – Sierra Leone is a non-profit anti-hunger organization that works directly with development partners locally and across the globe. Established in 2021; the organization is formed by strong team of proactive, professional Sierra Leoneans who are convinced that development does not lie in the hands of the government alone, but also in the hands of its people.

The overarching goal of FTH-SL is to contribute to the global development agenda of achieving ‘’zero hunger’’ and to increase the capacity of vulnerable groups in Sierra Leone through formal and vocational training. It is our conviction that the fight against hunger can be won with collective participation, determination and strategic approach.

Our work will be spread over five major themes, ranging from Agriculture and Feeding program to, health, education, civic engagement and innovation and creativity.

Feeding Program

At Feed The Hungry, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to grow, develop, and thrive to their full potential.
We understand that proper nutrition is a critical factor in everyone’s’ development and can have a significant impact on their future health and well-being.

School Feeding Program

INTRODUCTION
Access to education is a fundamental Human Right as outlined in the 1948 Human Rights Charter. The 1990 Jomtien conference on education for all declared the need for the provision of education for every person irrespective of their circumstances, whether children, youth or adults.

Agriculture

At Feed The Hungry Sierra Leone, we recognise that our mission and vision can only besustained through our sustainable agricultural projects aimed at providing some of the food resources needed to support our feeding programs for those suffering from food insecurity, and also promote food security in Sierra Leone.

Disaster Response

We understand the devastating impact that natural disasters can have on the communities, but more so on the victims. That’s why we have developed a robust disaster response plan that focuses on providing immediate food assistance and counselling support service to victims in need.

Livelihoods

We believe in empowering vulnerable groups to break the cycle of poverty and make hunger a thing of the past by providing valuable skills and training opportunities that will help them to affirm control of their life circumstances.

Feed The Hungry Sierra Leone is Rooted in Transparency. For each dollar you donate, 91¢ directly goes toward programs serving those in need. 4¢ goes to administrative costs & 5¢ goes to fundraising costs.
